VINTAGE CASE XX POCKET KNIFE - GREEN BONE ELEPHANT TOE 6250 - NR
Item History & Price
CONDITION: Fair used condition.LENGTH: 4 1/4 inches closed.HANDLES: Nice genuine green cattle bone with no cracks or chips. Nickel silver bolsters and nice nickel silver shield (bomb shield I think) with CASE stamped in center. At some point in time someone has taken a hot pin or something and put what appears to be their initials on ...one side of the right bolster and what looks like a number 36 on the other side (see close up pics). If someone had the proper tools I would think this can be smoothed out. Also some dings and scratches and some wear but otherwise not bad. BLADES: Two carbon steel blades that show significant use with blade wear (see pics). Both blades are nice and tight with good snap both ways. The master blade has some slight wobble when in the opened position. When closing the blades rub a little bit which I would think could also be corrected if someone knows what they are doing. The front tang of the master blade is stamped “CASE, TESTED XX” and the rear tang of the secondary blade is stamped the same. This stamping was used between 1920 and 1940.OTHER: This is a nice old rare Case Tested knife that is around 100 years old. The bone handles are still in very good condition. It shows wear otherwise but I am sure it could look much better with some TLC. My opening bid is only $9.99 with no set reserve price so the buyers/bidders can determine its value. Shipping is only $5.00 for USPS Priority Mail including insurance.
