*** PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING***
I’ve gone for months now avoiding having to do this BUT...... Due to the nearly pandemic number of non-paying and late paying bidders, and the fact I’m spending as much time trying to to get auction winners to pay for what they purchased 4 and 5 days earlier it’s become necessary for me to put the following policy in place. So starting immediately payment is due within 48 hours. If payment is not received in that time a non-paying bidder case ...will automatically be opened with eBay. This may seem harsh to some but it is necessary because of the actions of the few. Few being as many as 11 at once at times. Bidders with 350+ positive feedbacks and customers with which I’ve had previous successful transactions are exempt from the requirements and I thank those customers very much. If you are bidding on multiple knives I can waive the 48 hour rule. Just let me know and hold payment until I can send you an invoice to save you on shipping.
If you don’t read the full description and look at all the photos you’re going to miss a lot of detail. Please ask questions if you still have any.

Located in Little Valley, New York and Owned by Two Case Brothers and Made Between c.1901 and 1903 or The Standard Knife Located in Bradford, PA. and Made by W.R. Case & Sons Between c.1920-1948 and is 3 3/8” in Length.

Knives stamped with the Standard Knife Company were actually made in Bradford, Pennsylvania by W.R. Case & Sons between 1920-1948. The knife has a used and sharpened carbon steel spear point main blade with a common nail pull. The front face is fairly clean other than scratches from use but the rear face has about 3/4” long line of light staining and a few very light pits about mid blade. Been sharpened down over aggressively by a previous owner. Probably around 85%-90% full. Stamped on the front tang with STANDARD (over) KNIFE CO. The secondary blade is a carbon steel stubby clip blade. This is its original size. Both sides are clean with only scratches from use and 100% full. It has a nice thumb stud for opening and closing the blade in lieu of a nail pull. The stud seats nicely into a cutout in front scale when closed. There are three carbon steel tools on the other end of the knife frame. One is a combo blade with a cap-lifter, or bottle opener, and a flat blade screwdriver on the top. Both blade faces have quite a bit of light staining. The final tool is the leather punch with its tip still intact. It has some scattered light staining on both sides. All the blades and tools have a good open and close snap except for the stubby clip which is kind of quiet on close. The knife has a really nice set of light to medium brown jigged bovine bone scales. CORRECTION: There is a single tight crack on the front pin of the front scale that runs from the pin over about 1/4” to the front bolster. There are no other cracks, splits or missing chips. It has three nickel silver handle pins in each scale. The front scale has a narrow deep notch for the stubby clip’s thumb stud. There’s also a shallow easy open on the front scale for easier access to the ail pull on the combo blade. The rear scale has a shallow easy open for easy access to the punch. The knife has brightly polished nickel silver rounded bolsters with no dents, dings or visible scratches of any consequence. The knife still has its original nickel silver or steel bail riveted to the back bolsters. The knife has polished brass liners with an extra brass liner on the bottom on the rear side. The knife has two steel back springs with no cracks or breaks and both continue to perform the functions they were designed to perform. This great old antique or vintage Standard Knife Co. utility/camp knife is 3 7/16” in length and was made in Bradford, PA between 1920-1948 by W.R. Case & Sons. This is a rare and well made knife.
