This "Hardys'" "Duplicated Mark II, Perfect" fly reel has "The Perfect Fly Reel, Made By Hardy Bros Ltd, Alnwick, England, Duplicated Mark II, Pat. Nos. 24245 & 9261" impressed in to the back plate.The reel still revolves well with a good smooth action in a constant check, there is no play when the spool is rocked.The smooth brass foot is well attached, the ebonite handle is a little loose.The rim regulator screw moves fine and the the reel has retained much of its' original finish ho...wever, there is some general wear, scratches, marks and scuffs that you would expect from a well used item of this age.Internally the reel is stamped Hardy's Pat.
