Antique Ansonia BEE Novelty Clock. Sold as- is, NON RUNNING, PARTS OR REPAIR Age: 1906Size: 2" Reference: Ansonia Clocks & Watches, Ly, Page 547, No. 2291This model has always been a favorite for collectors. This is the Ansonia Bee novelty clock. This one has one of the nicest original Bees I have seen, the original nickel finish is outstanding with only very minor light scratches 9 (and I do mean minor), no cracks, bends or dents. The beveled glas...s is original and excellent as are the hands. The original heavy card stock dial is still great and has wear consistent with age. This clock still has the original screws which are usually missing.
The movement is 30 hour and runs for about five minutes then stops, so it is sold as NON Running. The balance sounds good when rocked back and forth so I am sure it just needs a good cleaning and oiling service since it just came from long time storage. *We cannot guarantee that any clock or movement will be running after being jostled around in shipping. Vintage and antique clocks require routine cleaning and oiling service and may need adjustments after shipping such as being put back in beat, (much like a piano needs tuning after moving). We do not cover buyers cost for restorations, service, cleaning or maintenance.
