This beautiful, vintage, spotted, sleek, glass eyed, 4 inches in wooden body length, surface diving "Northern Pike Fishing Lure" was made were made by Elman "Bud" Stewart (1912-1999) of Flint Michigan, AKA Michigan's Legendary Lure Maker. Bud was so revered as a fishing lure and fish decoy maker, and also as a folk artisan that a book about his life and creations was written about him while he was still living. Bud's fishing lures and fish decoys always had the action and /... or paint simulating a crippled, wounded, or dying fish or critter. The circa is 1980s. This neat small Pike lure with it's muted pink paint simulating flowing blood, and also with it's flasher tail surely make this lure a great fish getter. The condition is with some in use wear, with 4 paint chips to it's primer paint on it's left hand side. Still it displays excellent from it's right side.
