DESCRIPTION Thisis a gorgeous vintage wedding gown from the 1990s made by Venus, and it's never been worn! It still has its original store tag attached. The dress is made out of a shiny white satin, and it is fully lined in white polyester. The bodice of the dress is completely covered with floral embroidered appliques, and the appliques are accented with faux pearl beads and opalescent sequins. The skirt has similar accents, and there are cut out designs i...n the embroidery on the skirt. The dress has short cap sleeves and a V neck. There is a cathedral length train in the back that can be bustled up. The dress closes with a zipper down the back.NOTE: I displayed this dress over a crinoline to show off the fullness of the skirt. However, the listing is just for the dress. The crinoline is not included. SIZING
The tag labels this a size 8W, but vintage sizes tend to run smaller than modern sizes. I believe this dress would best fit a modern size Small (4-6). Theactual measurements are as follows:Bust: 18 inches across, underarm tounderarm (36 inches around)
Natural Waist: 12.75 across (25.5 inches around, measured at the narrowest part of the dress)
Drop Waist: 14 inches across (28 inches around, measured at the seam between the bodice and the skirt)
Hips: Full and roomy
Length: 55 inches down the front; 104 inches down the center of the back Note: These are the actualmeasurements of the garment, so please leave yourself room for comfort ofmovement.
