Son of Brig. Gen. and Mrs Tempest-Hicks ofGladsmuir House, Monken Hadley, Herts.
Captain Tempest-Hicks served in France from 1914.Three times wounded.Died aged 30yrs.... at the head of his squadron from wounds sustained during the Battle of Amiens on August 9th 1918 at Warvillers. Buried at Longueau Cemetery in Somme.
HALLMARKS on inside of both halves of the case and a lion mark on the catch.ASSAY MARK for Birmingham 1917MAKERS MARKS for A and J. Zimmerman Ltd.WEIGHT approx 86.4 grams.Gold washed interior.Original retainer (elastic has perished).
