I APOLOGIZE FOR THE BLURINESS OF THE LETTER PHOTO, UNFORTUNATELY THIS LETTER IS ENCAPSULATED IN THE NEW PSA/DNA JUMBO HOLDER, WHICH IS OVERSIZED FOR MY SCANNING DEVICE AND CAUSES THE ITEM TO NOT SIT DIRECTLY ON THE GLASS. FOR QUALITY OF LETTER SIMPLY LOOK AT THE ENVELOPE ENCLOSED AS IT IS IDENTICAL TO THE QUALITY OF THE LETTER WRITING.APPARENT CONNIE MACK HAD A CONSIDERABLE AMOUNT OF CORRESPONDANCE WITH THE SPORTS EDITOR OF THE BUFFALO COURIER, AS I HAVE THREE LETTERS TO HIM.&nbs...p; THIS LETTER WAS WRITTEN ON APRIL 11, 1953 AND CONTAINS GREAT BASEBALL CONTENT. THE LETTER READS:Dear Jack, Received your letter of 5th April and I wanted you to know that while I did not pick Traynor and George Sisler. The sports writers picked the team that you wrote I wanted you to know that I don't want you to change the story that you wrote It was grate (sic) of you to give me credit for picking the team. I did pick George Sisler at one time. I never have picked Traynor I preferd (sic) Corcoran as the man at third I was in favor of Corcoran who was a Buffalo man. I want to thank you for your letter that you wrote me and I don't want you to change your story. You have given me a great deal of credit.Sincerely yours, Connie MackTHE LETTER IS WRITTEN ON "AMERICAN BASE BALL CLUB OF PHILADELPHIA" STATIONARY AND HAS BEEN AUTHENTICATED AND AUTO GRADED NM-MT 8 BY PSA/DNA. I ASSUME THEY MUST BE A DISCUSSION ABOUT THE SELECTIONS FOR THE ALL-STAR GAME, AS IT DOES NOT READ LIKE HOF SELECTIONS. THIS IS A GREAT LETTER FOR THE HOF COLLECTOR AND BASEBALL HISTORIAN.
