Included:Antique Japanese Tachi sword "Tomoshige 友重" in Tachi style mountings Sword bag, which is made of Kimono cloth Sword registration issued by Mie Prefecture Board of Education (copy (original shall be returned to the local authority))
Appealing Points: Very antique Japanese Tachi sword in very good condition. Signed Tomoshige and dated 1403 A.D. The blade has beautiful Tachi figure.Tachi style mountings are gorgeous. Fuchi collar and Kashira cap are artistic. Menuki pegs are beautiful. Saya scabbard has very beautiful subtle patterns on the surface. The blade has the whole length and cutting edge length of 82.6 cm (32 1/2") and 65.3 cm (25 11/16"), respectively.The blade is well polished and is in very good condition.The blade is well forged and has nice forging grains.Hamon temper lines are beautiful.Sword bag is made of beautiful Kimono cloth. xvpbvx Features:Mei signature in Nakago tang: (front) 加州住藤原友重 (Kashu ju Fujiwara TOMOSHIGE), (back) 應永十年三月日 (March of Oei era 10th (=1403 A.D.))
