Vintage GI Joe items from a Adventures of GI Joe Polar Explorer The Fight For SurvivalThis is the original 1969 empty box!I was able to obtain this original boxed set but the set was incomplete so the empty box is all that remains and it is just so scarce that I am sure someone would love to have it even with the damage shown.It is NOT abused as you can see from the colorful graphics but looks like it was stored for some time, probably at the museum with weight of other items set on t...op that caused some of the damage and the fact that these original GI Joe boxes were NOT made to stand the test of time, after all it is over 50 yrs old!The cardboard that it is made from is rather light weight and NOT corrugated.I was going to attempt a repair but decided against it because I figure the seller would have his own idea of restoration or maybe as the Beatles would say LET IT BE!We are offering it at .99 cents NO RESERVE.Let the market decide the price.In order to protect it from damage during shipping it will have a custom made box to fit to insure that it makes it to you safely without any additional damage.The need to cover our cost of the custom box is all we ask.....plus 99 cents that is!!So good luck and have at it. This is the original 1969 empty box!
I was able to obtain this original boxed set but the set was incomplete so the empty box is all that remains and it is just so scarce that I am sure someone would love to have it even with the damage shown.
It is NOT abused as you can see from the colorful graphics but looks like it was stored for some time, probably at the museum with weight of other items set on top that caused some of the damage and the fact that these original GI Joe boxes were NOT made to stand the test of time, after all it is over 50 yrs old!
The cardboard that it is made from is rather light weight and NOT corrugated. We added some light weight tape on the inside just as reinforcement.
I have also included a copy of the original instruction sheet. It shows how to put together the sled and attach the harness to the sled dogs.
It is a copy of the original.
