Original Description:
Pre Columbian, Pottery, "Cozobi" The God of Maize, Zapotec Funerary Urn, 1251 grams, 8 1/2 inches in height, 6 1/2 inches in width (headdress), 4 3/4 inches in depth, 2 1/2 inch rim diameter (cylinder), 6 1/4 inch cylinder height.  This piece is in excellent condition, there are no major cracks, breaks, or missing pieces, one of the stalks of corn was broken off from the headdress, that break has been repaired.  I normally can get a very good magnified look and photo's (of th...e clay/paste composition) if there is a crack or break in the piece, that crack should be at least 1/4  millimeter in width, unfortunately there are none.  All images were taken by the seller utilizing a Canon digital camera, and an Amscope 3.5 x 180 x trinocular stereo microscope with a mounted microscope digital camera, a mounted and unmounted light source, and Barlow lenses.  Photos 1 thru 7 were shot with the Canon camera, the images depict the subject urn, photos 8 thru 12 were shot with the Amscope, they depict magnified and highly magnified images of, pigment, earthly and manganese mineral deposits, image 12 is the manganese being chemically tested.  USPS/Canada Post Tracked Service, all fragile and/or expensive pottery artifacts will be double boxed.  I pack all purchases with extreme care, using the best shipping materials money can buy.  I combine shipping, the monetary difference between my actual shipping cost and my posted quote will be refunded to the purchaser, (if the difference is over 5.00 Canadian dollars), if my final shipping cost is slightly higher than the quoted amount I will take care of it.  Sellers comment:  With out a doubt, one of my most difficult artifacts to photograph, I did manage to find what looks like red/orange pigment, earthly deposits and a few spots of manganese, which I tested.  From my collection.  The urn will be double boxed.
