Hilda the Hillbilly and Zero the Hero Whimsie Dolls were manufactured in 1960 & 1961 with a successful 2 year run.
They were marketed to pre-teen aged kids and are now a favorite of adult collectors.
Hilda has a vinyl head, stuffed vinyl one-piece body and limbs, orange hair, freckles, painted open eyes and a large watermelon smile.
She is wearing her sister, Tillie the Talker's football outfit that fits perfectly; added shoes and a little red purs...e.
Zero the Hero is made of stuffed vintage vinyl with bald head, open eyes and big wide smile. He is wearing his red and white football uniform.
