c.1880 US Marine Corp Helmet w/ original antique Portrait of the Marine. These came from a families estate recently. The grandfather had passed away, and these were his great grandfathers, who a US Marine in the 1880's, and this spiked helmet had been issued to him. Included is his portrait as a young man and was done at the time of service. Both are in pretty good shape considering there age and fact that the helmet had been wor...n in battle. There is I believe a name on the back of the picture. They are being sold together as they belong that way.
