Here is a beautiful 1956 Singer 99K sewing machine. This is an estatesale find from a woman who had tons of old sewing machines. She keptthem quite nice. However, the flaw on this one is the electrical cord. Theimmediate part that leads into the foot pedal has electrical tape on it.
There is a small storage compartment just beside the wheel. It measures6 3/4"L X 3"W X 2 1/2" D. I see no paint chips, nice body.The serial numbers are EL412954. The carrying case is nice too, just ...mild aging.
I sewed a sample, and it did just fine. See the sample in the pictures.There are 2 boxes of attachments, needles. Oh, this machine has an 8" fold out extension.
