old antique / vintage small metal / cast iron bird swallow (??) door stop / bookend / paperweight. I found a bag of these cool doorstops while helping my girlfriend clean out her mom's garage. no one seemed to know anything about them but I thought they were cool. ths sweet little guy is a swallow ( I think), he is hollow, made from a mold and I am pretty sure I saw what looks to me like original paint when I was cleaning him off. I almost took a wire brush to him to knock the rust off... but I decided against it. the rust and paint combo adds to his patina. he is approx. 5" tall and 5" wide. I don't see any manufacturers marks or logos on him. i have taken a bunch of pictures to help give you an accurate idea of the condition. please, please, please look at them and enlarge them. they give the best and most accurate idea of the condition of the item. i always try to highlight any flaws with the pictures. they are, by far, the most important part of my ad. please remember that this item is used, not new. do not expect new condition at a used price. it may have light markings/wear associated with being used.
