Featured in this auction is a beautiful sitting or seated wire-haired Fox Terrier puppy dog in solid cast iron that I believe was made byHubley. This heavy, full-bodied doorstop or bookend was probably made in the 1930's and has its magnificent, original paint with a traditional brown, black-and-white coat, very expressive eyes with a vivid red collar and red mouth. The mold detail is very crisp, and the paint application seems to be a little thicker than usual. ...The age-crackling of the paint actually accentuates the illusion of a wire-haired coat. This vintage collectible is unmarked, but is in excellent, vintage condition with spots of chipping paint and characteristic wear including small areas of rust. There is no damage to the metal, no cracks or breaks, but this little pup does have just-visible mold seams. This adorable little dog is 4-3/4" tall, about 5-3/4" long and 2-1/4" wide. Check out all 11 photos! This item would make a great addition to any Hubley or Fox Terriercollection. Check out my other listings!
