Here is a rare collectible glass bottle of Roger & Gallet Violette perfume from Paris, France that comes with its original floral decorative box. It is full of perfume but the perfume itself is old and not in good shape so I am selling this as a collectible antique, not for the fragrance in the bottle. There is some staining on the box and a small tear which has removed the first layer of cardboard near the top right so please see the photos which show both the box and the bottle i...n detail. The cap is made of metal. Some tarnishing so again please examine photos. The glass bottle has fabulous details including a scrolled pedestal bottom and pleated glass tapering out and up to wide shoulders.
The sticker on the bottom of the bottle says: Grand Prix Paris 1849 Paris France. It also contains the ornate entwined RG logo. There is also a code stamped in red ink that says "6 47." The words "Roger & Gallet, Paris, France are stamped into the bottom of the bottle.
There is no size listed but I estimate the bottle holds approximately one ounce of perfume and as you can see from the photos the bottle is almost full. The box itself measures 4-1/2 inches by 3 inches by 1 inch.
