For auction is a pair of Vintage Advent Large Walnut VeneerSpeakers. Original Advent Grills. Theywere manufactured in 1973. I’m the original owner of the speakers and boughtthem after college when I started working for the power company. They are invery good working condition and still have an excellent sound for a two waysystem. Each measures 11 1/2 by 14 by 25 1/2 in. Please note there is a water mark on top ofone speaker and with minor refinishing the mark can be taken... care of. I have not changed the original finish norhave I oiled the veneer in the last 10 years. The walnut veneer remains solidlyattached with no cracking or separation which gives you a clean pallet to treatthe wood as you see fit. The fried egg tweeters are original and the 10"woofer has been refoamed. I don't remember if the woofer cones are original orif they were replaced with the refoaming. The speakers sound great. Each speaker has a high frequency control switchin the back that allows for sound projection at normal, decreased, or extendedlevels. Each speaker is very heavy soI'm selling them as local pick up only. These speakers come from a smoke free home.
