Antique grade, with the patent dates embossed on the barrel 1908. Considering its age of almost 100 years, the condition is nice. There is NO discoloration on the green jade pearl marble, RARE & highly collectible (many example in the market got serious darkening on the green marble color, but not found on this pen). The pen is fitted with a Sheaffer's 14ct solid gold nib. Some wears on the body due to age

STORY In 1912, Walter A Sheaffer took his grand idea of pen-filling apparatus that utilized a lever system and, with his life savings, founds the W.A. Sheaffer company. During the early stage, the company ran with just 7 employees crowded into the samll back room of a jewelry store in Fort Madison, Iowa. The company later developed and earn substanical market share in the state. In 1945, US Secretary of State James F Byrnes used a Sheaffer to sign the paper that brought the United Nations into being.
