1960s ORIGINAL ALPS “TELEVISION SPACEMAN” ROBOT WITH BOXAn original TELEVISION SPACEMAN made in the 1960s by Alps Company, Japan. Battery operated with walking action, swinging arms, rotating eyes, flashing colored mouth, and moving picture TV screen. The TV antenna is the ON/OFF switch when it is inserted or removed from the head. This is the early tin leg and metal antenna version (later versions came with plastic legs and a plastic radar dish). C9 with much gloss and the origina...l metal antenna. The plastic face has no cracks, breaks or chips. Tin battery box is clean. All functions work great as seen in the video below! All parts are original. A spot of factory touch up at the battery door latch. Comes in the ORIGINAL box which has bright color and sharp graphics. There is an expertly repaired tear to one of the end flaps that ends in the masthead on the front. Still has both of the original cardboard inserts! About 13” tall.
