This is for a lovely original antique wooden signed Japanese Netsuke from the lade Edu period, between 1820 - 1850 ish. The wood has been carved to show a Demon reading a book and it is signed on the base as shown. It shows detail to his stylised face and his long hair at the back. The wood has a good dark patina and it is in excellent condition with no damage to it anywhere. It has two holes for fixing it to a lanyard and it measures 38mm (1.5") across and stands 35mm (1.3")... tall.
