For sale is a unique grouping that was handed down trough my family. Unfortunately, I don't have any stories about where exactly it came from. The original WWII wool shirt is rather unique, because it has a Russian Orthodox cross sewn into the collar. This appears to be original as the patina matches that of the shirt and it does not glow under a black light. With the shirt comes a cotton printed 48 star flag, an original WWII belt, and an original Bible or religious book written in a ...different language. The dates in the book refer back to 1940 at the latest and the pages are color with possible gold leaf and a padded cover/binding (all very rare for that time period). The shirt has a few very small moth holes and stains, the flag has some fading, and the belt is a little corroded, but over all, the entire grouping is in good condition. This would be perfect for any chaplain display or for a collector who is looking for something authentic and personal from the time period. Thanks!
