Original Description:
Up for your consideration is a used vintage Collins Legitimus single bit axe head.  There is no handle included with this axe. The head weighs approx. 3 lbs.-4 oz., it measures approx. 7-5/8" long X approx. 4-1/2" wide. The head was cleaned up a bit and there was some mushrooming on the pole that was filed down. The edge was also cleaned up with a hand file--No grinder. Overall head is in very good used condition. This axe head may have nicks, pitting,  scrapes, scratches, st...aining, dirt & rust from age & previous use. The blade could use a good sharpening.
