This is a pair of cast iron andirons of colonial men walking made by Virginia Metalcrafters from Waynesboro Virginia. These are classic hand made 20th century reproductions of early American andirons. The set weighs 27 pounds so is a very well made and indeed not an inexpensive reproduction. The company worked closely with Colonial Williamsburg to produce reproductions of the items that the “Restoration” was digging up and finding, including trivets, candlesticks, irons and trays.
