1.Catalog Number: 390-192. Condition of Item: good condition, the image was not in a case for some time and there are many surface scratches and rubs - please see image files.
3. Identification: The image is identified on the back both in ink and scratched into the tin "Elisha Lewis"
4. Other Information: This is an ...original period tin type photograph of an Artilleryman with small pistol in his belt. The history states Lewis enlisted at he age of 22 at Baldwinsville, NY on 8/24/1861 and fought through the war and mustered out on 6/18/1865 at Elmira. Battery B of the 1st New York Light Artillery has a very good combat history fight in all the battles of the Army of the Potomac including Gettysburg. There monument at Gettysburg is located on Hancock Avenue. The tin type measures 3" x 3 7/8" in size - there is no case.Please visit our ebay store!
