Up for auction is this Vintage ZENITH Long Distance Radio w Wavemagnet, Model# 6G501M from the 1940s. This authentic collectible radio measures 15"L x 11"H x 7"Deep, weighs lil over 10 lbs by itself, & it WORKS, picking up multiple stations but all w static. Some have more than others, & w more volume breeds more static. The back compartment though is pretty clean but can surely use replacement of wiring, tubes, etc & possibly a speaker to be safer & play great again. S...omeone w the right experience should have no problem.
The exterior however, will need plenty of restoration to bring it back to it's original form. Heres a list of the obvious issues: outer fabric has wear & is fraying, leather handle is cracked/dry but secure, front cover missing, speaker cover fraying, all outer metal screws/closures are oxidized, & plastic dial covers cracked & bowed in touching the dial in spots. The package to ship measures 18x14x13 weighing around 13 lbs w all contents.
