Vintage PORCELIER 3-Bulb Porcelain Ceiling Light Fixture, New Wiring, Guaranteed
This 3-bulb Porcelier ceiling fixture was manufactured sometime during the late 1920's to the early 1950's, the lifetime of the Porcelier Company. Their heyday was the 1930's.
The fixture's cream colored background is decorated with hand painted pink, yellow, blue and orange flowers and green leaves. The gold accents are in good condition but have minor losses. The fixture has... the original porcelain sockets which have been rewired. The sale includes the correct mounting hardware (mounting nut, threaded nipple, crossbar). The fixture has a hole for a pull switch, but there is not a built in switch and it must be operated from a wall switch. We can probably add a switch if the buyer needs one. The bulbs shown in the photos are not included. We removed the ceiling paint from the fixture, but missed a little which can be seen in the second photo. However, we have removed that paint also but did not reshoot the photo.
The light has been tested and is guaranteed to perform correctly.
The fixture has a 5-1/2" maximum radius giving it an 11" effective diameter. It measures 3-1/2" high at the center (not including mounting nut). The mounting nut shown in the photo is gold in color to match the gold accents in the fixture. However, we also have mounting nuts in brass, antique brass, and nickel, and if the buyer would prefer one of those colors, please advise us. Otherwise we will send the gold one shown in the photos.
At this writing we have a pair of matching 2-bulb fixtures in a separate listing. The colors and the basketweave pattern is identical.
