WWII US Army Air Force Photo Card AAF Engineers Applied Tactics Orlando WWII
Item History & Price
Here is a World War II US Army Air Force Engineers Photo Card. Sponsored by Southern Bell, it depicts Aviation Engineers loading up a C47 with AAF equipment for overseas deployment. Engineers are in full packs and helmets. Not the stacked M1 Rifles in the foreground. They are loading up a small plow tractor. It is a great black and white depiction. The Card is in fair plus... condition and at least 74 years old.

They assembled at McDill Army Air Field in Florida. This makes sense that the Applied Tactics School would be in Florida. Though attached to the Army Air Force, they dressed and were armed like regular Army Engineers, only they had heavy equipment for airfield construction, repair, and improvements as well as revetments, defensive positions, etc.
