This is a super, vintage Swiss made Tissot Seastar cal.2571, 20 microns gold-plated, automatic day and date watch whose serial number 16387921 dates it to 1973. The watch is in good, clean condition as can be seen in the photos. There is a little wear to the gold plate in places and some marks on the case from use/age including a little scrape just below the crown but overall the watch is in nice condition for its 46 years. The watch works perfectly keeping good time and with the day a...nd date changing appropriately. The time can be seen progressing in the series of photos. The watch has an attractive, metallic gold dial wth raised gold/black baton hour markers and gold/black hands with white (I think) inserts. The gold-plated case is quite 'chunky' and has its original Tissot crown. There is some scratching on the stainless steel backplate from previous opening. The watch has a new, non-Tissot, brown strap. Measuring approximately 35mm in diameter excluding the crown and 40mm from lug end to lug end, this vintage Tissot Seastar is a stylish, handsome watch in nice condition for its age.
