Confederate GEM CDV-General JOHN BELL HOOD-Brass Frame-RICHMOND BACKMARK. Rare +. The General's Portrait is SUPERB. His Image is a PHOTOGRAPH, not an Engraving or Photogravure. This Amazingly Rare Confederate Piece is 100% Complete with minor Age Soiling but NO FOXING. The Borders are straight and All 4 Corners are intact. The "Wall Hanger" Obverse Gold Trim is Complete and Unbroken. The (1.0 X 3/4) Ornate Brass Matted Frame is Embossed with Tiny Flowers on each Corner. There is NO COR...ROSION. The Reverse is SPECTACULAR with an Outstanding RICHMOND VIRGINIA Photographic Backmark. The Brass Mounts go through the CDV Cardstock partially obscuring some of the Detailing of the Print. I believe it states : RICHMOND PHOTOGRAPH Co. 887 (? Something street...) RICHMOND VIRGINIA. The Reverse Design is Beautiful. The Rarity and EYE APPEAL of this Confederate Collectable is EXCEPTIONAL.SHIPPING INCLUDES TRACKING AND INSURANCE.
