Authentic Vintage Mark Cross Black Grace Kelly Box Leather Bag Purse

This Mark Cross box purse is named after Grace Kelly. Gerald Murphy, the owner of Mark Cross in the 1950's created this purse for her to carry in the Alfred Hitchcock movie Rear Window. This purse is a much smaller version than the overnight case that she carried. It is made of an embossed black leather with black stitching. The inside is lined with a soft smooth supple leather and is very clean. The hardware is gold plated brass. It has a logo "Mark Cross" engraved push lock closure. ...The bag has an internal snap pocket also with the logo. The bag measures about 8.5" long X 6.75" high (when standing up on its feet) and the depth is 4.25".
CONDITION: Purse is in very good to excellent, clean condition. There are a few small indentations on the purse lid and some small, light scuffs in a few places but overall nothing that would detract from the beauty of this purse and are not very noticeable. This purse was well taken care of and has survived nicely over the years! Interior is super clean with no smells or stains, just the wonderful smell of leather! There is no shoulder strap or key.
