Stunning Abstract Expressionist Oil Painting on Canvas. Canvas appears to be linen and nails attaching canvas to stretcher indicate a likely 1940’s composition. Very Gerhard Richter.Energized use of impasto in various shades of blue contrasting with areas of dark indigo and white. Multiple layers of evocative brush work give birth to surprising tiny hits of shades of red and yellow. Painting is in very good condition.
