ANTIQUE QING CHINESE FAMILLE ROSE PORCELAIN TEA BOWL COVER SAUCER WITH POEMDescription: A delicate antique Chinese porcelain tea bowl cover or saucer dish, painted in the famille rose overglaze enamels with a poem to the upper surface, probably dating to the early 20th Century.The dish or lid of translucent porcelain, is painted to both upper and lower surfaces with figures in various exterior landscape scenes, surrounding a central roundel with a poem signed with two ...iron red seal marks. The translucent qualities of the surface has also been incised in places to accentuate elements of the design.The underside has a double ring mark to the outer rim in underglaze blue, and an underglaze blue six character seal mark within a raised foot with unglazed foot rim.
Dimensions:Width: 10.5 cm or 4 1/8 inches Height: 3.1 cm or 1 1/4 inches Weight: 78.2 grams Condition: In good antique condition, with signs of use and wear as expected. Two small chips to the rim visible to the upper surface, and one slightly larger sliver chip to the underside rim with two associated short fine hairline cracks. There is also a very fine hairline (approx 2cm long) to the left side of the central roundel. Please see the images provided whichcomplement this description.
