For sale is the Adam the Porter Automaton (original catalogue number 689), made by Lehmann of Brandenburg, Germany in 1903. The clockwork/wind-up mechanism works perfectly, whereby he moves his legs quite naturally whilst pushing his baggage cart. This is the rarer first version with hand-painted face, hat and hands, and measures 22 cms tall. It is 100% all original in every detail, and as you can see in the pictures, the baggage trunk/case is not present. The extra-large picture...s really do speak for themselves and give an accurate description of the condition. Please disregard the camera flash light reflections which appear in some of the pictures which form part of the description.
