This is a vintage wristwatch dating to circa 1942. This is beautiful, clean, and in excellent condition. The Amphibian is a fairly rare model. This one was a gift from an employer to an employee that was leaving to go to war. The employee, Melbourne Huffman, served in the US Army Air Corps during the War. He was from Wyalusing, PA and passed away in 1994. The watch runs well and keeps time. The time sets as it should. The case is stainless steel and it is about 30mm wid...e not including the crown. It is about 36mm long to the tips of the lugs. The movement is a high quality Girard Perregaux Model 06 hand winder and it has 15 jewels. The band is a new, good quality French made ZRC leather replacement. The total length of the watch is about 9 inches. This uses a 16 mm band which could easily be replaced if you prefer a different style or length. The crystal is clean and clear and has no scratches. The restored dial is very nice and is depicted accurately in the pictures.
