DESCRIPTION:Victorian c1890 sterling silver oblong egg shaped etui. Inside the etui is a 3 slot thread holder in a gold gilt with a built in pin holder in the middle. It also had inside a solid sterling silver thimble that’s dated for 1923, made by James Fenton of Birmingham and is a size 9. The case fits together perfectly and the covers st...ay tight. The thread holder is original and did not come with a cover for the needles. The etui shell acts like the cover and the needles can not fall out inside the etui.
Foster Bailey were in business between 1886-1897 and hale from Province, Rhode Island. This type of Victorian item would have been handled a lot, it’s 130 years old!

It does the job, the case is not out of shape so it still closes perfectly and is a rarity even in this condition.
