Vtg 1960s Big Leed Men ' S Dungarees Deadstock NWT 34 X 30 Indigo Denim Jeans

VINTAGE DENIM JEANSThis listing is for a pair of "Big Leed Men's Dungaree"s. They are new with tags, part of a deadstock purchase from a closed general store in rural Pennsylvania. They probably date to the early 1960s. The flasher tag is stapled to the pocket and lists the fabric as Sanforized 10 ounce denim and a tag below the pocket also gives fabric content as 100% cotton. They are a deep indigo blue.
They have a zipper fly with a Prentice metal zipper, a snap at the top, and a ...bar tack at the bottom. There are two front pockets with copper rivets at the corners and two back pockets with bar tack stitching at the corners. The front pockets are denim and stitched to the leg, they are not swing pockets and there is no sailcloth (photo 9). There is also a watch pocket with bar tacking at the corner. The inner and outer leg seams are felled and triple stitched with orange thread.
They are tagged a size 34 X 30.

Waist: (measured side to side) = 16 1/2 inches
Hips: (measured side to side at just above the start of the leg, about 10" below the waist) = 21 1/2 inches. (This is about 1" below the bottom of the fly).
Rise: (measured from top of waist to center crotch seam) = 13 inches
Inseam Length: (measured from center crotch seam to bottom of leg hem) = 30 inches
Outseam Length: (measured from waist to hem along the side) = 40 1/2 inches
Width of thigh: (measured side to side at point of crotch seam) = 14 inches
Width of leg opening at cuff: (measured side to side at hem) = 10 inches
They are in very good condition. There is some minor storage dust in areas and a "dusty" smell, but no mildew or other objectionable odors.
