It's in nice condition and functions as intended.
It is cocked by pushing the barrel in, but the knurling on the end of the barrel is to pull it back out before firing.
These were designed for plinking, but it was very easy to make stronger by removing the original spring and put in a stronger one if the owner wanted to use it for varmint control.

HUBERTUS Add To Collection- .177 or .22 cal., push-barrel, spring-piston action, single shot (barrel must be pulled back out before loading and firing), blue steel receiver, plain barrel, both front and rear sights on receiver, marked "D.R.G.M. Deutsches Reichs-Gebrauch-Muster" (a low level patent notice). Small frame variant: smoothbore, 8.5 in. OAL, early production. Large frame variant: rifled, forward breech ring ribbed, 10.5 in.
