Thank goodness Ascorti and Radice left Castello to go on their own to make the infamous CAMINETTO pipe!!! Screw the Danish And Dunhill. LOL.. They both wish they could make a pipe like this Italian piece represents and like they smoke. Caminettos smoke Virginias of so wonderfully. My favorite. (English blends ain't bad either... lol). They don't gurgle, even my Oom Paul Caminetto. I have said this befor...e MANY times here on Ebay but I hope the pictures do this wonderful pipe justice. Check out the symmetrical flame-straight grain! Really awesome! Oh, and, the pipe is more Deep Red than the pictures do it justice. There are NO scratches, shop wear, rim char or real bit marks anywhere. It is in EXCELLENT condition. This pipe is incredible! It was made in the early to mid 1970s due to the wider 'mustache', their last production. And the 'Torch Mustache' quality and subsequent stamp is so RARE...a very collectible addition to your Caminetto collection. Approx.length: 6 1/2 in., bowl height 2 1/16 in., rim diameter at it's narrowist point: 1 9/16 in., making it about a Dunhill Group 5. I am a fool to get rid of it but I want what it is worth, what this specimen represents concerning classic Italian history.. Happy bidding
