This coin is a 2008 $25 Platinum American Eagle, issued by the U.S. Mint at Philadelphia. It features the classic face of the Statue of Liberty on the obverse, and a depiction of an American Eagle soaring above the rising sun on the reverse.
The coin is of .9995 fineness, and contains 1/4 oz. of Platinum. It has been certified and authenticated a perfect MS-70 by the Professional Coi...n Grading Service (PCGS). PCGS has also designated the coin as a First Strike, i.e., it was graded within the first 30 days of issue).
2008 was the last year of production for the $25 Platinum Eagle. It has a spare mintage of 22, 800 pieces, of which only 372 have been graded MS-70 by PCGS!
The coin is pure and absolutely unblemished, consistent with the grade. In addition, the price of Platinum has recently begun a strong and significant run-up in price. This is a good opportunity!
