There's not a lot of information on this piece, but I'll provide what I've been able to gather. Forbes made a set of coffee canisters that doubled as storage for various other items. I've seen only one other Forbes coffee tin and that one says "crackers" instead of "rice". This is dated to 20s-30s. It is a large piece as it was meant to store 3lbs of coffee. The lid does come off, as seen in photo #6.
There is some damage from age. The top has some rusting, and the outside has a few... dings. There was a large dent that I buffed out, but I think the dings add to the charm of the piece. If you have something this old, you want it to look old.
Piece measures 9" tall, 6" wide. Top opening is 4" in diameter.
