This was sold on eBay rather recently, for only $99, in nice condition, altho I believe mine is nicer.eBay sewller "blidegold" is even more enthusiastic than gold, and has produced sterling silver pendants from this token. Here is his description: This is auction is for an Arnot PA. Blossburg Coal Co. Pennsylvania Store Sterling Silver Token modeled from some pieces form my personal collection. The original tokens are very very rare and made from bakelite, which is a baked rubber ( kind of an early form of plastic). The original tokens are VERY delicate and therefore, rare on rare. In my shop, we made these solid Sterling Silver made from molds of the originals. These tokens were used as change to assure the workers continued to shop at the company store!
There is a 5 and 10 cent one so far. Great for pendants , tie tacks or on a key chain.
If you or your family is from the Northern Tier of Pennsylvania or the Southern Tier of New York, there is a very good chance that you have a connection to the small town of Arnot or Blossburg Pa. I am one of those people.
Arnot is a very small village now but back in the day, it was a very large town!
