This is an adorable small boy's tweed two piece Buster Brown style suit made by Mayer Bros. Chicago. It's in very good antique condition with no holes or stains. The fabric is wool tweed and lined in a cotton material. The jacket has a white pique fabric collar and cuffs that are buttoned on so can be removed for washing. It has self covered buttons that are decorative down the front and brown buttons underneath that actually close the front. It has a blue sewn on necktie that hooks o...n one side.There are two false pockets on the breast of the jacket and sewn on belt which has a real pocket. The shorts button at each side and has five button holes across the back maybe for suspenders or button on shirt. They also have two self covered buttons at the bottom sides and two deep side pockets. The jacket is 17" long, 11" across the shoulders, and the sleeves are 14" long. The shorts are 15: long and 23" around the waist. Adorable! The only issue is the buttons on the front of the jacket have darkened where the metal meets the fabric.
