Antique c19th Handpainted Signed Japanese Satsuma Dish or BowlThis is decorated with Immortals & a Dragon.This is in Excellent condition with no chips, cracks or restoration . It has Crazing on the underside which is the norm .There is a Lovely Red Handpainted Mark . The Gilt work or Gilding is in stunning condition . This has a raised enamel on the Dragon , to give the scales a tactile feel . The decoration is magnificent with 27 faces and fabulous detail .... It is a deep vessel , with more depth than a plate , so can be more accurately described as a dish or bowl . It measures over 9 inches across its diameter with a nice signature on the base. It has no chips , cracks or restoration , a fabulous example.
