On the reverse side of the medal is the inscription: "Beauty will save the world." Below: Omsk (the city where the writer spent 4 years in prison for literature prohibited by censorship).
Fedor M. Dostoevsky - Russian writer, thinker, philosopher and journalist. Corresponding Member of the St. Petersburg Academy of Sciences since 1877. After his death, Dostoevsky was recognized as a classic of Russian literature and one of the best novelists of world importance, considered the first... representative of personalism in Russia. The work of the Russian writer had an impact on world literature, in particular, on the work of a number of Nobel Prize winners in literature, on the development of existentialism and Freudianism. Many famous works of Dostoevsky were repeatedly screened and staged in the theater, ballet and opera productions were staged.
Diameter=70 mm, thickness= 3.5 to 5 mm (due to the relief of the medal), weight= 131 grams. Medalist-sculptor V. Shamardin,  Leningrad mint.
