Rare WW2 1942 Fiberboard York License Plate

An original and I believe quite rare fiberboard with a celluloid or plastic covering World War Two era 1942 New York State license plate. The license plate measures approximately 13 3/8" long by 6 1/8" tall. Condition - has some wear and soil as shown but nothing to excess and no restoration. I can not say I have ever seen another and I could find no reference to one with a search of the internet. This item is completely fresh to the market from a old local estate.
