Spectacularantique Chinese heavily gilded elephant snuff bottle with wooden stand.Circa1880s.The finelycrafted snuff bottle is made in the shape of a reclining elephant. It has afloral harness and the opening of the snuff bottle on its back.The snuffbottle is made of metal and heavily gilded. The material underneath is verylikely silver.The postureof the elephant is a classic Chinese interpretation of how an elephant rest.
