This ensemble for your vintage Madame Alexander Cissy is the epitome of glamor and sophistication! The outfit will also fit other dolls of similar shape and size such as Portrait Cissy, modern Cissy, Miss Revlon, Dollikin, Sweet Sue Sophisticate and other 19-21 inch dolls. The ensemble consists of five pieces; dress, hat, purse, gloves and champagne.The tagged dress, often called the "Black Widow, " is made of heavy clack taffeta. It has a fitted bodice that has its original ...jewel in the center and pretty black lace around the armholes that forms small caps. The dress closes in back with four working snaps. The street length skirt is very full.The fabric is in excellent condition. Anything that appears irregular in the fabric is just tricks of lighting on taffeta. The Madame Alexander Cissy tag is attached to the back neckline. It is fraying a bit, but is still intact and clearly legible. The hat is a labeled Richard Original. The simple, elegant black feather bandeau perfectly compliments the dress and has a face veil.The handbag is wonderful! It is made of black satin with silver chain trim on its flap, along with a large rhinestone oblong decoration. It has a silver chain strap. Also included are a pair of sheer black gloves with lacy trim at the cuffs. Completing the suite is a jeroboam size bottle of champagne, ready for a celebration (a great prop)! All of the pieces are in excellent condition with no mends or stains and are odor-free. This is a classic Cissy-style ensemble!
