This case would have been issued with a new Gibson RB-250 Mastertone Bowtie when it was new in the 1950s.
This case is in very good condition to be 60 plus years old and with no functional issues. Even the case lid keeper (prevents the case lid ...from continuing to fall backward when the case lid is opened) and the case pocket pull tab are still intact!
This is the rare brown with the "pumpkin" colored inside case and is the same case that Curtis Mcpeake has his RB-75 "Ole Betsy" in to this day!
All latches and hinges are is excellent working order and the case closes nice and flat!
This will be shipped via USPS priority mail in a nice box and it will be padded well.
The photographs tell the rest of the story, so if you are looking for an original case for your 1950's Gibson banjo or if you are simply looking for that vintage piece to add to your collection, this is it!
Thank you for looking and good luck!

This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION

The colleagues I work closely with and I have only seen one other case like this and that was at Curtis' house! These must to be a pretty rare banjo case color for that reason!
