I’ve had this stoneware cat for several years now, but now its time to make more room in my cabinet since I found some other great things it fill my cabinet. It is a whimsical stoneware cat that was apprised thru Crocker Farms Auction House last year between $500-$800. They described it as, “Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Figure of a Cat, possibly Ohio origin, late 19th century, molded figure of a seated cat on oblong base with raised eyes and mouth, the back with carved hole for use a...s a vase. Surface covered in Bristol-type glaze with streaked cobalt highlights throughout.” He measures about 7” high, the base is 3” by 6”. It’s in good condition, but it does have about a 3” chip along the front base edge that probably happened after firing when the glaze dripped in the kiln while firing and it had to broken off to remove it. It does have all over crazing. It has no other defects. Please ask questions for all sales are final unless I made a mistake in my listing. Shipping is through USPS, parcel select ground shipping.
